Congratulations to Director Philip Riegle and the cast and crew of

Once On This Island for their outstanding performances!

This year a new activity was started at Komarek. It's called the Komarek Fishing Club, and it's members are both boys and girls from 7th and 8th grade. The members have varied fishing backgrounds, from new or inexperienced to students who have fished for many years. The club's goal is to not only teach it's members about fish species and the techniques used to catch them, but also a healthy respect for the outdoors and an appreciation for the natural resources around us.

Cancer has damaged the lives of many of our friends and loved ones.  Hopes and dreams have to be put on hold in order to fight this awful disease. For the Santucci family, the fight has just begun for their daughter Daniele who just recently turned 6 years old. We come together as a community to show our support and help them through this nightmare by taking part in helping make Daniele's dreams come true.
