Monday night the 7th grade soccer team faced an undefeated Hauser team. Despite numerous amazing saves in goal by Christian Garza and Mark Litavecz, the wildcats just could not stop Hauser from scoring. The defense was led by Colin Griffin and Skylar Cerny who gave it their all taking hits and pushes along the way. In the second half David Waas, Ryan Lach, Andrew Lukwinski and Christian Garza led the offense and we finally fired some shots on goal. We came close to scoring so many times, but in the end, we fell short with a score of 4-0. The wildcats hope to get a "W" tomorrow against Hillside.

The Wildcats played a tough game against Hauser Monday night. EVERY team member put forth great effort, resulting in a thrilling shootout victory against our rivals! Daisy Murillo, Marta Janas, Maximus Bernal, Rocco Reyes and Aaron Vazquez put in great defense to keep Hauser from scoring. Unfortunately, Hauser did score in the first half. During the second half, Moira Ford put in leadership as center midfielder, while Axel Martel, Noah Hoadley, Sam Avila and Josh Villalobos maintained the wide positions in the midfield. Our forwards Erik Pullen, Aliana Chiquito and Peter Rafael kept the ball on the attacking side. The Wildcats put on some fierce pressure at net, even forcing a PK in the box! Finally, forward Peter Rafael straight up out hustled the Hauser defense, burying a goal past the Cougar goalie- tying the game with less than 5 minutes to spare! Since it was 1-1 at the end of the game, we had to go in penalty kicks. Goalkeeper Ian Hardin kept the ball out of the net, making three outstanding saves. Sadly, Moira and Peter's shots were blocked by Hauser's goalie. However, Axel Martel, Sam Avila and Aliana Chiquito shot past the Cougar goalie resulting in a 3-2 shootout victory. Good Job Wildcats and get ready for today's game against Gross!!
